Dr. Soares

Dr. Luciana Soares has enjoyed a distinguished dental career, which began with important and early connections to both the past and the future in the field.

Dr. Soares comes from a Brazilian family connected to handmade art throughout several generations, including her grandfather, a craftsman, who created his own tools to make his life easier. Likewise, her father and older brother have inherited these skills and discovered a profession where they could expand and apply their creativity and manual dexterity: Dental Prosthesis. Dr. Soares would follow suit. On her own path of choosing a dental career, specifically the restorative approach, Dr. Soares has embraced this same family tradition.

Since receiving her first DDS degree from the well-known public Brazilian university in São Paulo – UNICAMP – in 2003, she has focused her practice on innovating, to include Minimally Invasive Dentistry, Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry, Aesthetic Rehabilitations, as well as Implant Restorative for 15 years in Brazil. Throughout these years, she has developed her abilities beyond her clinical expertise, which allow her to acquire the art of understanding her patients and their expectations in every treatment.

In 2015, Dr. Soares received her Specialty and Master’s Degree in Prosthodontics from the São Leopoldo Mandic Research Center in Campinas, Brazil. The subsequent year, she was offered the unique privilege of working as a Visiting Research Scholar with Dr. Pascal Magne, the renowned “Father of Biomimetic Dentistry,” at the USC School of Dentistry. She has developed cutting-edge research on Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry and has served as a volunteer faculty for dental students.

Dr. Soares decided to expand herself and continue her career in the United States by earning her second DDS degree from USC School of Dentistry in 2021. She has published several scientific and clinical articles in international journals, including the prestigious Dental Materials Journal and The International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry.

Having been a member of esteemed academies, such as the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED); the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD); the Brazilian Society of Dental Research (SBPqO 2009) and the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry (SBOE) has surely served Dr. Soares in staying continually updated in her profession.
